True to their Southern roots

A new Skynyrd album is always something to look forward to, and what a monumental album this is. Gary Rossington's hard rock edge is clearly standing out, and the band reinstated the guitar harmonies which was its trademark so many years ago. "Low Down Dirty" is my favorite track, and I hope Rock Radio picks this up as the next single sooner rather than later.
With new albums from Heart and ZZ Top waiting on the horizon, this year could turn out to be truly vintage for Classic rock bands. "Last Of A Dyin' Breed" is must-have for any Rock fan, regardless.

More heavy alternative metal, less metalcore.

Title track "Blood" immediately demonstrates how this band has evolved towards a more traditional alternative metal style. The end result is rough, hard and uncompromising, but overall the album contains enough material to satisfy the fans of their earlier more metalcore oriented efforts. Just listen to the screaming vocals on "Comanche" and you 'll agree this track could just as easily be part of "A Star-Crossed Wasteland".
Another great band from a band who clearly has evolved. Maria Brink's vocals are outstanding, captivating and powerful.

Traditional Metal at its best.

If you're into power metal the way it's supposed to sound, then you're in for a big treat. This album will keep blasting high quality riffs out your loudspeakers from beginning to end. Both Pete Rossi and Bryan Holland will show you what they mean with slashing guitars. Former Savatage member Steve Wacholz is showing of his percussionistic talents, hard rock vocals are courtesy of Todd Michael Hall, of Jack Starr's Burning Starr.
I, for one, would not be surprised if this album should fall into my top five of the year.

"Bleed For Me" is their latest video.

Four years after their latest effort "The Formation Of Damnation" the thrash metal band from California released their follow-up studio album.
Easily one of the best albums of the year, the tracks are sublime, relentless and lyrically intriguing. Strongly recommended to every metal fan.
